All Black Everything — The Tranquility Report

Happy Monday! I hope everybody survived the snowstorm! It was quite brutal actually, but luckily, we managed to shoot some amazing photos next to my beloved Lincoln Square!

星期一快樂！紐約上週末下大雪，大雪程度約莫是路上滿地雪花冰的狀態，超級無敵滑，即使已經穿了雨靴，稍個不留神還是會摔個四腳朝天的滑度。不過趁太陽老哥賞臉，我趕緊在最喜歡的林肯廣場拍了這套穿搭，跟各位分享。

Lincoln Square is definitely one of my favorite corner in the city, somehow it just reminds me of Eslite Spectrum in Taiwan, where I used to go a lot to look for inspirations and ideas. Some of you that follow my Instagram probably already know my obsessions with architectures- they’re like the jewelry of the landscapes, quiet and mesmerizing.

林肯廣場是一個我在紐約很喜歡的角落，建築大氣、雄偉，常常讓我想到台灣的松菸。這道牆是否也讓你們想到松菸的白牆呢？（雖然我有朋友說根本是土地銀行只是高了點完全破壞我的情調= =）最喜歡紐約的一點就是這裡的建築都好美，每個角落都有各自不同的風韻。

Today I was feeling a little bit ambitious about the layering, hence I wore a simple black dress on top of a pair of wide leg pants. Normally I would not recommend this mix match because it literally takes your silhouette away, but since the black dress comes with a little high waist bow tie detail, so I can still layer it and accentuate my waist line. To make it more fun, I was also wearing a long suit vest just to give it a little bit of structure. If you wish to copy this look but don’t have a black dress like this, do not worry! A simple black belt should be able to do just the same trick!

紐約的冬天滿難對付的，外面-5度，室內暖氣20度，所以LAYERING（我想最貼切的翻譯是洋蔥式穿法）大概是要在這裡存活的重點技巧之一。寬鬆的連身裙要跟同樣有份量的寬褲重疊穿搭，而不顯臃腫、笨重，重點就在於連身裙腰身打結的設計。不僅強調腰線，也在視覺上讓腿的比例向上延伸，假高任務輕鬆完成！我也外搭了長版無袖西裝背心，讓材質、比例上有更豐富的層次。如果想要嘗試這樣的風格卻沒有類似的上衣或連身裙，用一條簡單的黑色皮帶也能創造出類似的風格。
